As you may or may not know, Sydney is also called the city of villages. For every suburb in the city has it’s own people, culture and vibe. I have had the right to call the coolest one, Newtown, my home for 6 months. Pieces, tags and streetart seemed to pop op overnight, and just when you’re starting to love it, disappeared just as quickly. I truly regret not capturing every wall, stair and object but I got some snapshots, that I’ll love to share. You like?
This is probably the best-known mural in Newtown, maybe Sydney. The famous Martin Luther King, his phrase and the Aboriginal flag are on the central King Street, right across the station. This was painted by Andrew Aiken and Juilee Pryor and has been there since ’91. This is not my picture, so all credits to Leonard John Matthews for taking and uploading it.
