The Fugees – Fu-Gee-La

The Fugees – Fu-Gee-La

The vibe of supergroup The Fugees is one that immediately makes me re-feel my love for Hip Hop like it’s the first time.
Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel’s combined sound is highly recognized and respected within, as well as outside the Hip Hop community. Therefor let’s once again remember them with their highest selling and gold certified single from the 2nd album The Score ’96.

Produced by Salaam Remi, who also continuously worked with NAS and Amy Winehouse. It samples Ramsey Lewis, Poor Righteous Teachers and the chorus is inspired by Teena Marie’s ‘Ooh La La La’. There are more than a handful of remixes available, but I stick with the original.
